It's a little known fact that the sky is moving very, very fast. Mostly it's heading towards us, creating what is in physics known as the blueshift effect, caused by the compression of the wavelengths of the light.
Around sunset and sunup, the sky moves away from us again, stretching the wavelengths and resulting in red and orange tones in the sky. This resets the sky's distance to its default.
As science doesn't operate with the term Greenshift, you can rest assured that we're in fact seeing the correct color of the sky.
